Sainik School Bhubaneswar is a residential public school where cadets after joining the school have to stay in the houses.There are 10 houses named after the major rivers names i)Gomati House ii)Brahmaputra House iii)Ganga house iv)Sutlej House v)Cauvery House vi)Godavari House vii)Narmada House viii)Mahanadi house ix)Krishna house x)Yamuna House The senior cadets from class IX to XII stay together in the five houses and the freshers of class VI stay in the Yamuna house and others from class VII to VIII stay in other four houses. Each house is administered under the supervision of the Housemaster,House tutors and Hostel Superintendent/Matron who looks after the cadets for their over all growth.Approximately 60 cadets stay in a house who are provided with furnitures & accomodation for their comfortable stay.
